Teal Scaffold’s Commercial Estimator Ross Rimmer will soon be embarking on The Lake District Ultra Challenge in an effort to raise money for Dementia UK.
The scaffold expert and avid mountaineer decided to take on the challenge following personal life events.
The event which takes place across the 10th and 11th of June will see Ross take on England’s countryside.
His challenge will start at base camp in Kendal and from their it will be a 100km anticlockwise loop taking on tough hills, Garburn Pass, Ambleside, Lake Windermere, and several nature reserves.
During the momentous journey participants will camp at the halfway mark.
Following several years of rambling, Ross is set to take on one of his most challenging hikes of his life.
He said: “Dementia UK is a charity that is very close to my heart, so I wanted to raise funds for the cause. The organisation is a specialist dementia nurse charity who provide continual support and life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia. For families affect they are a lifeline and I want to do my bit in giving back”.
